Five stars for a kingdom I’d happily visit again. Arriving at the Tru Hilton in Plano felt like stepping into a freshly polished wing of my traveling castle. The place is so new and spotless I half expected a royal steward to appear with a trumpet. Breakfast was a delightful spread.
Rooms are clean and reasonably priced but desk clerks are not very helpful. I asked about restaurants near by and she didn't know anything and seemed like I was bothering her. Also, pillows are flat and I asked housekeeping for a couple of extra pillows and they said they would get me a couple and never did. They also didn't make it to my room to clean or get dirty towels and I had to go down the hall and get my own towels from housekeeper.
We stayed here for 6 nights and the rooms were decent and clean. We had an issue on our door on the 3rd night. Came back around 6:45pm tried to go into our room and our key didn’t work. We thought maybe it was just the keys. We went to the front desks and he said the door is dead and needed to be charged up. They couldn’t find the charger so had to call maintenance and it took him 2 hours to get there. We sat outside to wait but decided to leave since no need to sit and wait all night. They didn’t call us until about 10:30pm and say it was fixed. We had an event we needed to change for and couldn’t even do that, my husband had medicine he has to take at a certain time and he couldn’t even do that. They said the manager was going to be calling us for 3 days in a row and we checked out today and still haven’t gotten a call yet.
The worse hotel ever..I've been there now for the 3rd night..i couldn't sleep more than 3 hours per night in average... very noisy rooms ...the hotel is located near highway without any other building that could stop the polluting noise. Further there is an ac unit inside...adding extra noise even if it's off.(fan still working). So bring your ear stop noise with you. I will never be back again...
Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff, always someone cleaning the main lobby area. The food/drink area was well stocked, and the breakfast seemed well attended by staff. First time that I've stayed at a Tru Hotel, and it was a good experience.
