The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was amazing during my visit. I only stayed for one night, but my experience was exceptional. My room was very clean and comfortable, and I felt welcomed and at home. The bed was cozy, and the linens were soft. The location is also close to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended!

I left a blazer at the Westin Stonebriar resort in Frisco, Texas when I was there at an owners convention. I called shortly after pulling out of the driveway of the hotel and they confirmed they had it. I later called for instructions to send them the shipping label. I called and confirmed they received the shipping label and gave them the pickup time. I called again and confirmed they would be getting it picked up soon. After a few days, it hadn’t arrived and Fedex mailed me letting me know they got turned away when they picked it up. I called the resort again and spoke to the person that had packaged my blazer who was going to investigate. I don’t recall if it was on this call or if he called me back but I told the person that rather than pay for another pick up for them to give it to fedex the next time they pick up a package. After a week or two, I still didn’t get my blazer. I called and left the hotel manager (Randy?) a message and never heard back. I called a few days later and again never heard back. I escalated to HEI resorts earlier today and am hoping to get results. It has been 7+ weeks without getting my blazer. I am completely thrown off by how a resort like this can be highly rated yet prove to have no sense of accountability, can give instructions but not follow them and have the manager ghost a customer. Please get me my blazer back immediately!

Nice hotel. Could use some maintenance here and there (examples: faucet handle on shower was broken, ice machine on level 2 leaking, no dog poop bags available). Other than that, very nice. Good food for room service. Decent prices. The hotel staff were welcoming, friendly, and aiming to please. Also the blackout curtains were great.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. However, there was an incident that I wish had been handled better by the on-site staff. On my first night, I went to take a shower and quickly placed my belongings, including my cellphone, on the bathroom counter. When I turned on the shower, water began spraying all over the bathroom counter. It appears that the previous guest had reattached the removable shower head incorrectly, causing the water to spray outward. As a result, both I and my belongings—including my cellphone—were soaked. It took nearly 24 hours for my phone to dry out. I reported the issue to the front desk. The employee I spoke with was polite but not particularly helpful. I asked if there might be a wireless charger available to borrow for a few hours, explaining that my phone had been damaged in the incident and was not charging. I needed my phone to check in for my flight and arrange transportation the next day. The employee said he didn’t have one and would ask security, though he didn’t think they had one either. He then suggested I limit phone use to preserve battery life. While I appreciated the courtesy, I would have valued a more compassionate and solution-oriented response. I acknowledge that I could have checked the shower head before turning it on, but I do believe the fixture should have been properly adjusted during room cleaning prior to my arrival. Aside from this experience, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning. I will simply be more cautious next time to ensure the shower head is positioned correctly before use.

Stayed here for one night in August 2025. The property is well managed and maintained. I did not have any issues with the room, decor, amenities, service or the reservation. I did also dine at the bar and had a drink. I food was good, the service was just right. The check-in process was cordial and quick. Given this is a golf course hotel, I am sure the other amenities are very nice and well managed but I did not take advantage of it. My room was clean and well put together. It was Westin charming. That is, it had the identifiable furniture and decor. It did feel familiar and i liked it. The room I had was spacious and big and the bathroom too. Would stay here again when in the area.
