The hotel is undergoing renovations. The location, the lobby, the breakfast area, and the breakfast itself were all top class. Unfortunately, that is where the good stops. The elevator was extremely dirty. The hotel room, although recently refreshed, had damage to the walls and damage to the ceilings. The shower was missing the body wash. I attempted to call the front desk as well as housekeeping, to no avail; it just rang and rang and rang. So I went downstairs and they quickly remedied the issue. I was not greeted as a platinum elite member, which isn't a big deal to me, but I know it is a big deal to corporate. My night's sleep was not great as there was a ton of noise. I'm not sure if this noise was from other guests or some other source, but it didn't make for a very good night's sleep. Overall, the experience was fine, but lackluster. I will be staying again because of the location and the cost, but if there is a better option nearby at a similar cost I'll choose that.
"10-Day Business Stay Disaster: Avoid This Holiday Inn - Poor Service, Maintenance, and Connectivity" Review Body I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Frisco, Dallas for 10 days on a business trip, and I was severely disappointed with the service and overall condition of the property. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. Key Issues Encountered: Housekeeping: The most immediate problem was the lack of daily room cleaning. For a 10-day stay, this is unacceptable, creating an unhygienic and uncomfortable environment. Maintenance (Elevator): The elevators were not working properly to the 5th floor for the duration of my stay, causing significant inconvenience and delays, especially when rushing for business commitments. In-Room Comfort (A/C): The air conditioning was extremely weak, making the room uncomfortably warm and difficult to sleep in. Connectivity (Wi-Fi): Wi-Fi service on the 5th floor was essentially non-existent. This was a critical failure for a business traveler who needs reliable internet access to work. Customer Service: My biggest frustration was the unresponsive staff. I raised multiple complaints about the A/C, elevator, and Wi-Fi, but no one took action to address these serious issues. My concerns were completely ignored. Conclusion The hotel's lack of basic service, maintenance, and attention to reported guest problems made my long stay difficult. I will absolutely not choose this hotel again and strongly suggest that other travelers, especially those on business, look elsewhere.
Internet was out the entire stay. It is hard to accomplish any work without wi-fi. I asked after I checked in and noticed it wasn't working. They told me it would be fixed in 20 minutes. After a few hours I called again and they told me it would be fixed shortly but it never was. The next day it also did not work. I spoke with another person staying there who said the internet had been out for days. There was also a side door card reader that wasn't working but they seem uninterested in fixing that. I asked to speak with the manager but they could not provide one. They took my number but never called me back.
Rooms were average, looked like some remodeling going on. Room clean up was hit and miss. I hate finding hair on the sink and tub. Ick. The lights between the beds and reading chair don’t work , left word at front desk but maintenance never got around to it. Front desk staff was great ( afternoon guy kinda crabby) but everyone else was spectacular! Stanley the night guy was extremely helpful, considerate and I appreciated his night rounds to make sure we were all secure! He’s a keeper! Breakfast was good! Overall It was better than I expected and I’ll stay there on my future trips to Dallas!!
I rarely leave bad reviews, but this hotel stay was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, it was unacceptable. When we first arrived, things seemed fine—until we went to use the pool. That’s when we discovered poop floating in the water. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable for a public facility. We immediately left the area and reported it. To make matters worse, while we were there, the pool door broke— which felt unsafe, especially for families with children. Again, we notified the front desk about this issue. Throughout our stay, we continued to find concerning issues—from cleanliness problems in the hallways to poor maintenance around the property. The staff’s lack of responsiveness made everything so much worse. I understand that sometimes things happen, but when guests report health and safety issues like this, someone should respond immediately. There was absolutely no sense of urgency or professionalism.
