We always stay at this Holiday Inn Express when we visit our daughter and her family because the location is perfect for us. The breakfast is good, the rooms are quiet and comfortable and the workout room is quite nice. The staff has been kind every single, time, but this stay they were superstars! Thania and Judith were so friendly and helpful. They switched our room without any hassle and they greeted us like we were friends. We will definitely be back!
Super friendly staff! Martinez and the young lady at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming. All staff members including house keeping and breakfast staff were very friendly as well. The rooms were very clean and I felt safe as a solo traveler with my pet. ($75 pet fee per stay) The parking lot was well lit so I felt safe letting my dog out to use the restroom at night. Solid free breakfast and they have a 24 hr coffee and tea machine in the lobby. Highly recommend staying at this location 👍👍
Overall the staff is this hotel was really nice and helpful. They frequently went out of their way to make our stay better. The breakfast was immaculate and had a good selection of foods. The housekeeping was always on time and they cleaning the room spectacularly. This hotel was a great choice if staying in the Dallas area.
I booked this hotel through Booking.com and arrived with a confirmed reservation. Upon check-in, the manager told me there was a “problem” with my booking because Booking.com’s virtual credit card kept declining. Instead of handling the issue themselves, the manager told me I had to call Booking.com to figure it out — which is absolutely unacceptable. For clarity: when you book through Booking.com, you pay them, and they provide the hotel with a virtual card. If that system fails, the hotel and Booking.com need to resolve it, not the customer. After lengthy calls, it turned out Booking.com was miscalculating the tax bracket. They sent $175 when the hotel was trying to charge $175.54, so the payment declined over 54 cents. The manager spoke directly with Booking.com on my phone and even told them he would cover the difference. Once the call ended, however, he insisted I personally pay the 54 cents. At that point, it was not about the money — it was about principle and customer service. My husband offered cash, but the manager refused and demanded a card. After all the hassle, that kind of behavior was insulting. The room itself was fine, and the continental breakfast was average, but customer service sets the tone. This experience showed terrible business practices. If you rely on third-party booking services, you must take responsibility when issues arise — you cannot pass the burden onto your customers. Because of this, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stayed here for three nights one week ago. Overall experience was great! Great price! The room was super clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Location is very convenient too. Breakfast was okay. The only thing with little concern is the noise level - if you are light sleeper, make sure to ask the front desk to check-in the even-numbered room which not faces George Bush Turnpike.
