Comfort Suites Plano - Dallas North

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming, the location felt very safe, and the atmosphere throughout the property was great. The room itself was comfortable, but I did notice it was a bit semi-dirty in a few areas (dusty near the bed and AC), and the deadbolt didn’t fully lock. Since the hotel feels extremely secure, it wasn’t a major issue, but worth mentioning. Aside from that, everything else was smooth, and I would definitely consider staying here again. The positives definitely outweighed the minor concerns!

The first two days were horrific. The hotel (especially the lobby) smell like cigar or weed. I don't know exactly what the issue was but it's terrible. The hallway smell the same. But somehow the room was okay. Not that bad inside the room. That's strange. This hotel has potential to be great if they clean it up well. After the 3rd day, they started to clean the lobby only and it was much better. I would not recommend anyone to stay here until they clean this place up. I had to check out one day early because of this issue. The moment that I leave the hotel, my clothes smell like cigar or weed. Staff was friendly.

I stayed for 5 days 4 nights. The location in relation to work and my son’s school was very centralized. I chose it mostly for the great deal I booked at an online site. I gave it 3 stars for location because its lot location to enter the highway south on Jupiter is tricky due to high traffic. The hotel itself is older with seemingly recent upgrades. The room was clean and no smell. The front desk attendants friendly and informative. The included breakfast always a plus and served standard proteins and breads, cereals, waffles. Main complaint is the DARK front entry drive. The lack of light doesn’t make it inviting or feel safe. Parking in general is very limited and even more so lit parking is limited. Otherwise good experience and offered good amenities on the budget.

Stay was Oct 10-12. Woke up Oct 11 to bugs in my bed. Crazy thing the bed was a really great sleeper. Took pictures and video to show front desk staff. They moved us from the 1st floor to the 3rd and told us a manager would be in Monday. I called today (Monday) and was told, the manager would be in tomorrow. Not sure what’s going on here but this is unacceptable. Another family member had bugs and stains on sheets. 1st fl room had a smell. 3rd fl room iron didn’t work. The housekeeping staff was very nice. Front desk wasn’t very much help. Discount and or refund was not never offered. This location maybe family ran and they seem to be covering for one another. This situation should have been handled better.

This was our first stay at the Comfort Suites Plano – Dallas North, and we almost exclusively stay at Choice properties. I’ll start with the positive: the room itself was clean. That said, the overall experience fell short of what we’ve come to expect. The hotel had an odd, unwelcoming feel, and the staff was less than friendly. Aside from the room, the rest of the property did not appear very clean, and the parking area was also not well maintained. Because of these issues, I would be hesitant to stay at this property again.
