RecNation RV & Boat Storage

we have really enjoyed our short off of stay with RecNation in Plano. We’re only leaving because we’re moving to a different house farther away. The office reps are very easy to work with, and everything is handled very efficiently. The space itself is nice and clean, and offers everything we need.

We have been storing our 38' travel trailer at RecNation for about 4yrs now. We moved to the fully enclosed units on Vinson Rd in Wylie and our trailer stays in new like condition. If there are any issues they get resolved in a timely manner. If there was a dump station and wash area like the one in Plano it would be perfect.

Overall its a great option and most of the people renting spaces around us have been great neighbors. I almost pushed up to 4 stars because of that but the tire issue is a huge problem. Would be 3 stars because the place feels like a prison. The security is great but the appearance is off putting. Also there is a HUGE issue with nails, screws and razor blades around the dumpsters. Most likely from when its emptied. Every single person around us has gotten multiple nails and screws in their tires and the office isnt doing anything about it. Not even sending someone out to check after its emptied. To make that worse they've had a section dug out for months they wont fix making it hard to get through on that side of the gate or use the wash station. Other than those huge issues... its great, love the covered parking and lighting is excellent.

We broke a spring when pulling our 28 foot Airstream from AZ to Tennessee. We needed a place to fix it for a day, we had 24 hour access in a clean and secure location on a cement pad. They allow normal maintenance and repairs. I would give them a 5 star if I could have paid for just a day or two, I paid for a month and would do it again, this saved us hundreds of dollars in repairs and delays. Thank you RecNation!

I haven't been a customer for long, but I am impressed with their business and plan to return when our RV is back in town. Good location in an industrial area, easily accessible, and good security onsite (keypad entry, electric fence, etc.). There is also an RV shop onsite if you need one; I have no experience with them, so I'm not saying anything positive or negative there - just mentioning that it exists. Their customer service was also pleasant to deal with over the phone. I look forward to returning!
