Terrible Treatment at Goodyear on Custer Road – Avoid at All Costs! I had a horrible experience at this Goodyear location on Custer Road, and I feel compelled to warn others. I went in distressed and in pain, with a nail in my tire, and desperately needing help since my husband was out of town and I was alone, trying to get my puppy to the sitter before heading to work. Instead of receiving the assistance I urgently needed, I was met with rudeness and complete disregard from the owner, Greg. The moment he saw that I drive a Maserati, he outright refused to help me, stating that he doesn’t want to “touch” that brand. I pleaded with him, explaining that it was an emergency and that I didn’t care about the brand—just that I needed a simple tire repair. Instead of being understanding or offering any kind of assistance, he was disrespectful, dismissive, and outright rude, telling me “I am the owner, and I am not helping you. Nothing can change my mind, so now leave.” This happened in front of multiple customers and employees, who looked embarrassed on his behalf. The workers there seemed willing to help, but their hands were tied because of their boss’s unreasonable attitude. Feeling utterly mistreated, I even asked if his hostility had anything to do with the fact that I am Italian, but he refused to answer—just insisted that I leave. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. If you value respect, professionalism, and basic human decency, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere. No one should have to deal with this kind of treatment, especially when seeking help in an emergency. DO NOT go to this shop for any reason. They do not deserve your time or money.
I received absolutely the best service at this shop. I needed a tire and it was not one most places carry. They got it for me super fast and it took no time at all to take off the spare and put on the new tire. I'm going here for my next oil change or other service. Thank you Dave Boswell and crew!
The owner of this place is as bad or worse than the reviews that have already been left. I have experienced and witnessed several instances of unprofessional rudeness and greediness from the owner. The main "behind the counter" man however, has always been as pleasant and helpful as anyone could want. I have not experienced issues with the work, but I'm not a mechanic so how would I know? Also, mention should be made that despite the giant Goodyear logos on the building, this is not a Goodyear store, but an independent shop.
I used to do business with Greg and Gary. However, the service quality and prices have changed quite a bit. Used to be considered a valued customer, now they charge $35 to put in a light bulb I brought in. Tried to charge me to patch a tire that was under warranty. The last time I got an oil change their tech forgot to put fluids in my car once filters were replaced. They are no longer in the National Tire warranty system. Just no longer worth my frustration.
While visiting Texas during the holidays, my 2006 Honda Oddysey abruptly had mechanical issues during the last 100 miles of my trip. I managed to limp the car to my destination. I found 15th and Custer Tire and Service and they got me in to their busy Saturday schedule, confidently diagnosed the problem, alerted me first of the parts needed and financial requirement, and repaired my car by the end of their business day! Ive now driven home over 500 miles with no further issues! Im so grateful to Jesse for his expertise and professionalism, and highly recommend Custer Tire and Service for your automobile needs!!
